COP 28, Dubai UAE
Dr Ram Boojh participated in the UN Climate Change Conference, COP28 held in Dubai, UAE from 3-10 December 2023. He highlighted Mobius Foundation’s programmes and activities in several events and discussions. He participated as a panellist in the session “Ocean Literacy” organized by UNFCC, GCC and Terre Policy Centre/Blue Zone (official pavilion and spoke about the importance of ocean literacy in ocean conservation and climate amelioration specifically the MF facilitated sessions during the ICSE. He was also a Panellist in the “Greening Education Pavilion: Greenprint for the Future – Crafting the Education for Sustainability Road Map” and discussed UAE’s National Environmental Education & Awareness Strategy (2015-2021) framework. Dr Boojh also participated in a panel discussion “From Reaction to Socio-Ecological Resilience: Advancing Disaster Risk Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Nexus for Climate Adaptation” organized by UN University.
He networked and discussed with several agencies and organizations including Environment Authority Abu Dhabi (EAD), UNEP, WWF, IUCN, FEE, TPC and other stakeholders at the Greening Education Pavilion regarding the upcoming 12th World Environment Education Congress early next year and synergy with ICSE 2024.
