EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

ToTCE emphasises on the unique power of bringing change to education in order to accelerate the circular economy transition. Mobius Foundation invites collaborative efforts from leaders, practitioners, and educational institutions to strengthen educational expertise for providing knowledge beyond formal education.

The programme is specially designed to emulate sustainability practices at educational institutions to induce core circularity values. It aims to ensure sustainability practices amongst the future generations and share the knowledge of the circular economy with teachers, lecturers, and academicians who are the strong forces behind the future of the students. Every individual belonging to the educational sector can attend the training session ranging from academicians, university students, scholars, teachers, professors, and students above 11th and 12th class if nominated by their schools. There are multiple benefits of attending this training session as attendees will be able to implement Circular Economy into their organisation and institutes. Students will get a chance to understand the Circular Economy and integrate this practice into their everyday lives and this will act as a saving grace for the generations to come. It will also cater to different sustainable development goals such as SDG 11, 12, and 13. The participants will receive a checklist and toolkit to accelerate the transition of their organisation from linear to circular, and to create a large-scale impact on society.

PLASTIC SECTOR SMEs

Small and medium-sized businesses are well aware of the advantages of a closed loop system for improving resource efficiency, such as cost savings, competitive advantages, and access to new markets. However, there are a few challenges like financial constraints, technical skills, or lack of systems that pose an obstacle to maintaining a circular economy. The projects for SMEs introduces design thinking concepts, methodology, and best practices to enable the supply chains of OEM to complement circular economy at their organisational premises and leverage long term and short term economic, environmental and social gains. The project aims to support SMEs to attain green cover. The greening of SMEs will be a great value addition for OEM’s keen to reduce plastic in their supply chain and reinforcing their commitment towards SDG2030. Plastic sector SMEs, CFOs, CSOs, investors, vendors keen to expand their knowledge about the circular economy can take part in the training[a].

The project benefits in greening the supply chain of OEMs. It equips individuals to take action against waste management. This programme will help to strategize for green finance and the end motive of environment conservation. The project will contribute to SDG 8, 9, 12, 13, and 14.
