PROJECT AAKAR - 2023

Mobius Foundation Project Aakar is focused on building awareness and influencing attitudes related to contraceptive measures among the target group.  It was implemented in partnership with the local NGO, Kartavya Shila Mahila Avam Bal Vikas Sanstha. On-ground activities of this project were planned as per the National Health Mission guidelines.

PHASE 1 - Launched in Feb 2018

Focused on building awareness and influencing attitudes toward Family Planning using various contraceptive measures.

Mr. Pradip Burman (Founder, Mobius Foundation) launched Phase 1 in the presence of dignitaries:

  • Dr. Savita Chauhan, DGM (IEC) SIFPSA
  • Ms. Priyanka Singh Rawat, MP, Barabanki
  • Mr. Narendra Agarwal, Chief Medical Officer, Lucknow

Activities Conducted

Door-to-Door Counselling to:-

  • Married couples
  • Couples with 1 child
  • Couples with 2 children
  • Male Group Counselling
  • Community Games

PHASE 2 - Launched in June 2019

It focused on the health counselling of married couples and school students falling in the marriageable group of 17-20 years with the help of the Community Health Centre (CHC) and Primary Health Centre (PHC).

Mr. Pradip Burman, Founder, Mobius Foundation addressed the gathering, and Mr. Siddharth Nath Singh, Medical & Health Minister of UP, flagged off the promotional mobile van.

Activities Conducted

  • Counselling at Community Health Centre (CHCs)
  • Counselling at Primary Health Centre (PHCs)
  • Distribution of Contraceptive Kits
  • Male Counselling
  • Specific Girl Child Counselling

No Scalpel Vasectomy Pakhwada

It focused on the health counselling of married couples and school students falling in the marriageable group of 17-20 years with the help of the Community Health Centre (CHC) and Primary Health Centre (PHC).

This fortnight’s theme, “Puroshon ne Parivar niyojan apnaya, Sukhi Parivar ka aadhar banaya,” was to motivate males to opt for family planning methods.

Aahvann Mela

Under the intiative of Project Aakar –Mobius Foundation participated in Aahvann Mela 2023  launched by Govt, of Uttar Pradesh on 8th February 2023.

Objective : To felicitate ASHA workers who have been instrumental in strengthening the cause of Family Planning in their respective villages. The beneficiaries who adopted permanent contraception through Mobius’ counselling and support, were also felicitated.

Dignitaries: District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer & Chief Medical Officer, in both the districts. It was a success to bring together all the stakeholders on one platform and further propagate the importance of Family Planning.

During the event, District Magistrate Dr. Chandra emphasized the crucial role that Asha Workers plays in  successful implementation of various schemes and programs. These workers have made invaluable contributions to the campaign, and their efforts were recognized and appreciated. Certificates were presented to these workers as a token of appreciation for their contributions to the community.

Aahvann Mela was held at Shravasti on 8th February 2023

The event was conducted in DPRC, Shravasti in the presence of approx. 100 participants including Asha workers and the below mentioned dignitaries.

Aahvann Mela was held in Bahraich on 15th February 2023

The event was conducted in Auditorium District Magistrate’s Office, Bahraich. Approx.  80 participants of the respected blocks attended the event in presence of the following dignitaries
