About the Book
We are delighted to announce the launching of the Book “Sustainability Education for a Better World” published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing!
This publication is part of the proceeding of the First International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE 2019) held at India Habitat Centre Delhi organized by Mobius Foundation in association with many national and international organizations, including UNESCO, UNEP, UNFCC, Earth Day Network, FEE, CEE, TERI, WWF, Climate Reality Project, Earth Day Network and 30+ other distinguished partners on 9th and 10th September 2019 in New Delhi.
About the Book:
This volume is a collection of selected papers presented during the conference, organized into 21 chapters. These chapters amalgamate various approaches to sustainability education in the formal, non-formal, and informal sectors. They provide glimpses of good practices, case studies, technological advances in teaching-learning, and analysis of policies, curriculum, and pedagogy.
The book begins with an overview of sustainability education (Chapter 1), consisting mainly of the deliberations and critical findings of the ICSE 2019, to set the context and spectrum of sustainability education.
The SE, as a holistic vision, goes beyond EE, CCE, and the ESD. While ESD is development-centric, SE deals mainly with societal challenges, practices, behaviours and skills needed to improve our life and the planet’s future.
