Pioneering Sustainability in Education
The International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) is a pioneering platform that fosters global dialogue, collaboration, and action to embed sustainability principles across education systems and societal frameworks. Since its inception in 2019, ICSE has convened thousands of educators, policymakers, youth leaders, researchers, and sustainability practitioners from over 50 countries to drive forward the dialogue on environmental and climate education. At ICSE, we foster a collective commitment to a just, resilient, and sustainable future.
Each edition of ICSE has explored critical themes — ranging from climate literacy and ecosystem restoration to green careers, population stabilisation, circular economy, and the role of digital technologies in sustainability learning.
Through high-level plenaries, deep-dive thematic sessions, youth-led campaigns like Youth for Earth, and strong policy linkages with frameworks such as the Paris Agreement or India’s NEP 2020, ICSE has positioned itself as a convening force for education-led climate action.
