Mobius Young Climate Leaders for Himalayan Development (MYCL) Programme

Mobius Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the Mobius Young Climate Leaders for Himalayan Development (MYCL) program, a ground-breaking initiative to address the pressing need for sustainability education among youths of North-East India. The program will officially launch in Dimapur, Nagaland, on June 12, 2023. It will empower young individuals to take better care of the invaluable resources, particularly in the ecologically sensitive Himalayan region.

The MYCL program aims to train and equip 18 exceptional climate leaders who will play a vital role in imparting the customized Pani Pahar Curriculum developed by the University of Cambridge across all grades in 15 selected schools in Dimapur. This curriculum has been specially designed to raise awareness and enhance knowledge about climate change and environmental sustainability among youths.

This program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of several esteemed partners. The Climate Studies and Knowledge Solution Centre in Dimapur, YouthNet, Hearth Education, and the Government of Nagaland, have partnered with Mobius Foundation to bring this initiative to life. Their combined expertise and commitment to environmental conservation will significantly contribute to the success of the program and its long-term impact.

The program also marks the entry of Mobius Foundation into India’s ecologically sensitive northeast region. It is a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing mission to create a positive environmental footprint nationwide.

The launch event on June 12, 2023, in Dimapur, will serve as a platform to showcase the program’s objectives, introduce the passionate individuals involved, and inspire others to join the movement for climate action. The event will feature distinguished speakers, interactive sessions, and an opportunity for participants to engage with the Pani Pahar Curriculum firsthand.
